This is my black mini mare-Murfee.
Here is her unexpected and big surprise to me on Sunday. I had no idea she was pregnant;
the new baby
is a little girl. I have named her Diamond Lily; she has a diamond shape
on her hindquarters. Murfee was thrown away by her previous owner
and a good friend rescued her within seconds
of being put down and let me have her. It was love at first sight and she
was mine. She had stumbled and fallen because of her huge overgrown
and badly neglected elf-shaped hooves. Her previous owner brought her in
to put her down; he called her a black mare. It took
months and months of carefully trimming her feet and feeding her a good nutritious diet to
restore her
physical and mental health. She was the saddest little horse you could imagine; you
should see the joy for life she has now. I had the pleasure to see her run
for the first time and kick up her lovely heels. She is a wonderful loving
mother to Lily.
