Blu Justice is the newest
refugee to our sanctuary, 05-18-10! I want to
especially thank Sergeant Stone for caring about this
precious boy. It was his collaborative efforts that made
Blu's home coming to us a reality. He is named for Serge.
Stone's efforts to get him to us. This boy was seized from
his previous owner up due to EXTREME abuse and starvation.
He has been in legal limbo for 7 months. Following his
seizure 7 months ago, he has been residing at a local
veterinarian's . He is now legally ours and in intensely
loving, nurturing environment. We are so very happy to have
him here. He is welcome and wanted. It has been a long
,painful journey for him. We will post pictures often as he
improves and learns to trust. He has the kindest, sweetest
most soulful eyes. It is an honor for us to witness the
awesome miracles of how horses forgive and learn to love..
We, caretakers here at GHR live for the moments when we see
a poor, malnourished horse put on weight. It is wonderful to
see a dull, lifeless coat turn shiny and muscles begin to
grow strong!....We feed great a balanced diet here and ho
horse at our rescue ever has to fight for food.! Blu
Justice's initial rehab period will be o 6-9 months. I will
be accepting adoption applications. It must come from a very
special someone who wishes to be his forever friend. He is a
wonderful, kind horse who never gave up .He continued to
fight by taking breath after breath .He has a strong will to
live, a strong will to survive. He is about 5 years old and
14 hands high. He is gelded, wormed and up to date on
vaccinations! Our official ferrier, Tony Keith, has him on a
regular hoof trimming schedule. He will be working with our
wonderful official trainer, Mike Davis. Thank you Courtney
Gonzales for your donation of hay and grain & to Mr. Fair
for your donation of panels. We can do miracles with $20.00
a day. No donation is too small and all are appreciated
greatly.
